Smoke, Pictures, Book Club

We got a reprieve from the smoke this afternoon. The window was small and we chose not to exploit it. All fingers are crossed that conditions improve. Want to watch conditions? Here are a couple of places to follow along:

EPA's website for Beaverton (experiencing heavy volume and sometimes unavailable)

Oregon DEQ Interactive Map

Worldwide Air Quality

We will continue checking hourly to monitor conditions.

Team pictures are tomorrow (Wednesday). Picture packets were sent home with athletes today for those who are interested in purchasing pictures. Please bring a change of clothes for the rest of practice after pictures.

I would like to host a cross country book club. The cost is $10, fully reimbursable to anyone who participates through the season. The book is Endure by Alex Hutchinson. Book club meetings will take place on Mondays, tackling about a chapter each week. Sign-ups here by Friday (8/24). Books will be handed out on Tuesday, August 28. The first conversation will take place on Labor Day.
